Who we are
The Beaumont Educational Support Team (BEST) was established in 2014. Its mission is to provide scholarships and grants to support and encourage students and schools of Beaumont Unified School District to meet their full potential and be the BEST they can be.
BEST is run by an all-volunteer, working board of directors with support from the district. It is a tax-exempt nonprofit under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
What your support funds
- Scholarships for graduating seniors heading to college.
- School site grants for schools and teachers, for programs that go beyond the standard curriculum.
- Student programs and services, including chances to explore a variety of career paths.
The Laura May Stewart Foundation is an ongoing supporter of BEST's School Site Grant Program.
A grant at work
A BEST grant helped launch the Beaumont Bean, a coffee shop that opened in fall 2024 at Beaumont Adult School. Adult students with learning and physical disabilities in the Adult Transition Program run it: they take orders, make change and talk with customers.
Read the district's story about the Beaumont BeanWe believe that every student deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential.
